How You Can Help

Donate Time

Your gift of time will make a difference to people in our community. Opportunities include but are not limited to setting up, serving lunch, assisting in the office and running drives for much needed items such as bottled water, socks and toiletries.  Thanks to your incredible dedication and support, we are fully staffed for lunchtime volunteers through August, 2015.  We are most grateful.  Click here to see the many other ways in which you can help out.

Bethesda Cares does not accept volunteers who have been convicted of violent crimes, crimes of a sexual nature, or identity theft crimes. Bethesda Cares reserves the right to decline any volunteer or to limit which days or hours a volunteer can work and the right to dismiss a volunteer at any time during their scheduled time.

Donate Goods

Toiletries such as travel size shampoo, lotion and soap, razors, deodorant to name a few are welcome here. Non-perishable food as well as fresh fruit and vegetables are always welcome at our lunch program, but please do not bring partially-consumed items and kindly check expiration dates before donating.

We accept seasonal clothing, particularly menswear; we do not need children’s clothing.  Please note that we do not have the capacity to repair or clean any items.

You can also donate your used vehicle, with just a phone call. Click here for more information.

Donate Money

Bethesda Cares has no overhead as office and utilities are donated. Your money goes immediately to work to assist those in the community.
