Bethesda Cares welcomes your financial support. Because our office space and utilities are donated, and by the grace of the tens of thousands of hours our spectacular volunteers donate to us each year, our overhead expenses are a very low. Your donation is applied directly to programs and services that help those most in need.

Your gift of time will make a difference to people in our community. Opportunities include but are not limited to setting up, serving lunch, assisting in the office and running drives for much needed items such as bottled water, socks and toiletries.
Bethesda Cares does not accept volunteers who have been convicted of violent crimes, crimes of a sexual nature, or identity theft crimes. Bethesda Cares reserves the right to decline any volunteer or to limit which days or hours a volunteer can work and the right to dismiss a volunteer at any time during their scheduled time.

Toiletries such as travel size toothpaste, face wipes, razors, and deodorant to name a few are welcome here. Non-perishable food as well as fresh fruit and vegetables are always welcome at our lunch program, but please do not bring partially-consumed items and kindly check expiration dates before donating.
We accept new or used backpacks, blankets, belts, and seasonal clothing, particularly menswear; we do not need children’s clothing. Please note that we do not have the capacity to repair or clean any items.
