Daily meal. Daily connection.
Every weekday, Bethesda Cares serves lunch in partnership with Church in Bethesda. For many of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity, this meal is more than nourishment — it's a place of consistency, dignity, and connection.
Since Bethesda Cares first opened its doors, serving hot, nutritious food has been a priority. Providing meals to individuals who might otherwise go without is essential work — but it is only part of what happens at this table.
Serving meals each day acts as a means of engagement for those living on the streets. It is how we build the trust needed to move toward housing — a relationship that begins not with paperwork, but with presence.
The extraordinary show of support from our community — food drives, volunteerism, and financial contributions — helps ensure that every meal served is both appealing and nutritious. This is more than food service. It is a daily act of dignity.
We are grateful for the many hands helping those who have the least in our community.
